About Ryan

Along with Mark Schacknies and Nima Negahban, I am working to make GreenPearl.com the end-all-be-all professional networking site for the real estate industry. I am building on that experience, creating tools and services to help real estate developers, investors, service providers, and deal makers improve their self-marketing to do more and better business.

I invested four years as founding CEO of PropertyShark.com building one of the top property research sites in the country. Along with the founder, I built the team from two to 60 people in four countries, acquired over 300,000 registered professional users, designed 8 profitable subscription services, and deployed data services in 15 major cities covering over 30 million properties.

Beyond my entrepreneurial interests, I invest in property myself via private placements in multi-family apartment buildings in New York City.

I invested four years as founding CEO of PropertyShark.com building one of the top property research sites in the country. Along with the founder, I built the team from two to 60 people in four countries, acquired over 300,000 registered professional users, designed 8 profitable subscription services, and deployed data services in 15 major cities covering over 30 million properties.

At Stanford, I built two websites:

GSB Events -- an online events clearinghouse that compiled and displayed a list of all of the business school's events (speeches, conferences, panel discussions, presentations) into one site and enabled students to submit and view summaries and notes of the events.

Graduate Summer Housing -- an online marketplace for graduate students to find and exchange housing during the summer internship season.

Along with several fellow students, I led the TELL lab, which is a peer advisory technology lab to assist students in getting up the tech curve on everything from creating video to using Bloomberg machines.

While at Stanford, I interned at Sun Microsystems in small enterprise client marketing and at Amazon.com in the Video/DVD group. I authored Amazon's video on demand / digital deliver strategy, accurately predicting the five-year period before online video would finally come to bear fruit.
